Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Delia Trainor can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Delia Anna Trainor

Delia Anna  Trainor
Delia A. (Abbott) Trainor - Went to be with her Lord while at Bangor City Nursing and Rehab on November 8th, 2016, under the loving care of New Hope Hospice.
She was born on January 7th, 1925 in Perham, ME. The daughter of James E. Abbott and Lola A. (Harris) Abbott. Delia began her life's work with families and raising children early in life and reported that her greatest joy was the sound of their laughter.
She spent her life as a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Delia was an avid reader, talented cook, and a skilled knitter. She will be greatly missed by many.
Delia is predeceased by her husband, Peter Joseph Trainor, and her son Thomas Michael Trainor. She is survived by her daughter Susan and husband, Michael Richardson, of Garland, daughter Laura and husband, Danny Ray, of Carmel, Son John and wife, Tina Trainor, of Hermon, and son Peter Trainor Jr. of Carmel. She had five grandchildren, one great granddaughter who arrived in September, Nevaeh Eve Trainor, and was awaiting a second great granddaughter, her namesake, due in January 2017.
Delia was a devoted member of the Carmel Union Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Carmel Union Congregational Church Choir, P.O. Box 111 Carmel, ME 04419.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 15th 2016 at 12PM, Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 143 Blue Star Memorial Circle, Augusta, Maine 04330 Section A Row 11. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com
