Obituary for Ralph P. Curtis

Ralph P. Curtis
Hudson-Ralph Peter Curtis, 59, died unexpectedly October 22, 2016 at his home in Hudson. He was born January 3, 1957, in Bangor, the son of Richard M. and Anita I. (Currier) Curtis. Ralph attended Governor Baxter School for the Deaf where he met his loving wife, Cheryl. He spent his years hunting, fishing with his buddies, tinkering with small engines, watching wildlife on his game cameras, following NASCAR and building strong relationships with the deaf community. He built a Jeep for mud racing, took pride in his racing lawnmowers and remote control speed boats and he was always willing to drop everything to help a friend fix a motor of any kind. He also was very proud of his new grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. Ralph will always be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor, and animated and action filled stories. Ralph was predeceased by his nephew, Ryan Lyford. Surviving in addition to his wife, Cheryl (Gallant) Curtis, of Hudson are his parents, Richard and Anita Curtis, of Clifton; daughter, Jennifer (Curtis) Turcotte and her husband, Jeff, of Ellsworth; daughter, Angela Curtis and her significant other, Tristan Davis, of Bangor; grandchildren, Laura Turcotte and Chase Davis; his three sisters, JoAnn Stewart and husband, Bob, of Bingham and their children Bobby and Mary Stewart; Alison Haskell and husband, Wayne, of Clifton; and Barbara Lyford and husband, Tony, of Kenduskeag and their children Merilee and Jeremy.
