Before Robin came to work at EMMC's engineering department, an engineer who went by the nickname Hacksaw (and whose real name I did not know) did a lot of the repairs for me in ICU. After he died, I asked Robin who was going to be able to do those repairs now that Hacksaw was gone. Robin stepped right up and said, "That would be me, of course!"
I soon found out that if I needed anything done, it was best to wait until the day shift went home and to call Robin. If there was a job that might have taken the "big wigs" on days two weeks to respond to, Robin would have said, "Give me a minute to finish what I am doing, and I will be right there."
Once just after Christmas, Robin and his wife were in the cafeteria. I asked Robin what he got his wife for Christmas, and he said, "A four-wheel drive pickup with a snow plow."
