The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bryce Pelkey can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

7 days

Seven days... Seven days is all it took to know Bryce for the wonderful teenager that he was. He had heart, he was a little bit on the crazy-fun-side, but that is who he was and I am sure that if you knew him you would agree. I met Bryce in December of last year on a cruise. We were both awake at four o'clock in the morning so we decided to hang out and didn't go to sleep till later that morning. We were always together, on and off the boat.  About the third or fourth night, Bryce and I stayed up all night just for breakfast that started at seven in the morning, chugging coffee just to stay awake. The club on the boat was a lot of fun and all of the kids hung out with eachother and we just all made a connection. Everyone loved Bryce, he made the group 100 times more exciting. If you ever wanted to find him, he was either eating food or in the arcade trying to win the grand prize about 50,000 times on one game. When he would get frustrated, I would offer to play basketball and Bryce was a good opponent, he was one amazing athlete. I heard of the tragic news on January 30, 2015 around eleven at night, and I could not believe it. I wanted to start bursting out in tears. I was shocked that such an amazing kid like him could leave Earth just like that. However, Bryce is not really gone. His spirit lives on and I will pray everyday for Bryce and his family. Now, If I could wish for one thing, it is that I just would've hoped to know Bryce for more than seven days. REST IN PEACE. You will be missed for always and forever.
