EDDINGTON - Wilbur C. Cotton, 83, passed July 10, 2025, comfortably at his home. He was born May 10, 1942, in Bangor, the son of Frances Robina (Clarke) Cotton, and Percy Blanchard Cotton of Holden.
Wilbur spent most of his life self-employed in the construction world and had a love of trucks and equipment as a young child that carried through his life. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Marie Nason. They first settled in Holden and made their final home together in Eddington. They celebrated 62 years of marriage this past December. Wilbur was a recognized and loved community member and will be remembered as someone who also treated people with respect, and kindness.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Kathryn, are their daughters Marty White and husband Jim, Jacinda Cotton and husband, Tony Castro and Robina Hartt and her husband, Billy; nine grandchildren, Tifany Whitney, Alpha Castro, Marita K. Castro, Dexter Cotton Castro, Dante Cotton Castro, Bill Hartt, Ben Hartt, Leonardo Bintabara, and Eduardo Bintabara; sister, Dorothy Cotton Connelly; sister-in-law, Judy Cotton; nieces, Jaylene Cotton & Shawna Connelly Becene; nephew, Patrick Cotton Connelly; the special caregivers and many helpful friends. In addition to his parents, Wilbur was predeceased by his brother, Percy, and nephew, Jeffrey.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 17th at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, with Pastor Jean Wood, officiating.
