Verna Sawtelle Colson, 80, passed away peacefully December 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A complete obituary notice will be published in a later edition of the Bangor Daily News. Friends may gather with the family from 5-7 PM, Thurs, Jan. 5, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. A Service of Remembrance will be held 11 AM, Friday, Jan. 6, at the Crosspoint Church, 1476 Broadway, Bangor, with Rev. Dr. Jerry Mick, presiding, with a reception to follow at the church.
