Trevor Daniel King

April 10, 2003 — May 3, 2025

Bangor

Trevor King, 22, of Bangor, passed away tragically in a car accident on May 3, 2025. A 2021 graduate of Bangor High School, Trevor lived every day with energy and purpose. He was adventurous, determined, and embraced success without letting setbacks hold him down—always finding a way to bounce back stronger.

Trevor was deeply devoted to his family. He loved them fiercely and made sure they always knew it. He had a special bond with his Ninny, Patty Wedge, and the time they spent together at Millinocket Lake had a lasting impact on his life. His big heart, quick smile, and generous spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He had an easy way of bringing people together and made friends wherever he went. His friendships were deep and loyal, crossing all walks of life, and he was the kind of person who would stand up for the people and the causes he believed in.

True to his family’s tradition, he was at his best in the Maine outdoors in every season. His soul embodied open spaces in nature. Trevor’s adventures brought him skiing at Sugarloaf, camp life in Millinocket, and snowmobiling all over Northern Maine. He turned the backyard into a playground of imagination and adventure, spending countless hours building ski jumps with whatever snow he could gather. Trevor grew up playing Little League baseball, where he formed lifelong friendships that endured through the years. A proud member of the Varney team, Trevor helped lead them to victory in the Bower Cup—a cherished memory and point of pride for him and his teammates. His love for the game and the camaraderie it made remained a defining part of his youth and character. He was fearless and was always willing to embrace what is next. Trevor was always the life of the party and never failed to make people laugh.

Trevor was beginning his professional career in the trades. He was open to new experiences and adventures, exploring opportunities since high school graduation. He found his home with Raynor Mechanical where he was valued for his work ethic, wit and dependability. He joined them very recently but was known as a strong presence with the team and as a team member with high potential and promise.

He was the beloved son of Tim and Tracy (Wedge) King of Bangor and the cherished brother of Taylor King. He is survived by his grandparents, Dan and Carol King, and was predeceased by his grandparents, Larry and Patty Wedge. He will be lovingly remembered by his aunts, Sonya Wedge, Danielle King, and Dawn King, his uncle, Aaron King, and by cousins Nicolas and Dominic King, many extended family, and countless close friends.

Trevor worked hard, lived boldly, and stood firm in his values. His spirit and humor will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
