Thomas Russell

Orrington - Thomas J. Russell "Tom", 68, passed away on July 2, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 28, 1957, in Bangor, the son of the late John and Betty Russell.

 Tom graduated from John Bapst High School and EMTC. He worked for many years at Maine Energy and EMMC. Tom was a former member of The Bangor Elks BPOE #244.

 He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Susan Russell of Orrington; sons, Ryan Russell and his wife, Whitney, of Florida, and Matthew Russell and his partner, Christie York, of Orrington; grandchildren, Grant Russell, and Delaney Russell of Florida, Ariana Dyer and Makayla Dyer of Bucksport. 

In addition to his parents, Tom was predeceased by his brother, Dana Russell of Hampden.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately following the graveside.
