In Loving Memory of Theresa M. Plummer

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and Me'Me,' Theresa M. Plummer, who left this world peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the age of seventy-six, after a brief illness. She was surrounded by love, just as she spent her life giving it.

Theresa was the heart of our family. She had a way of making everyone feel safe, seen, and cared for-whether through her comforting words, her warm hugs, or the countless ways she showed up for the people she loved. Her strength was quiet but unwavering, and her kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.

Theresa was a proud graduate of both St. John's School and John Bapst High School. She found joy in the simple things: karaoke with friends and family, going to the casino with her partner in crime, cooking special treats for the holidays, hosting family gatherings, and attending her grandson's music and sporting events. Nothing made her happier than time spent with family, especially with her grandson whom she adored beyond measure.

Theresa taught us how to love fiercely, forgive freely, and face life with grace. Her lessons will live on in the lives she shaped and the memories we hold close.

Theresa was predeceased by her father John N. King, her mother Gertrude D. King, and her brother James King. Theresa is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, John A. Plummer, Jr., her daughters Julie Plummer (Michael Morin) and Angie Plummer (Brian Ballanger), and her grandson Connor Plummer-Garland. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Margaret Hunt as well as by her brothers Jean Paul King, Robert King, Edward King, Richard King, and Gerald King. Theresa is also remembered by all who loved and knew her, including many nieces and nephews, in-laws, extended family members, and friends who became family. Their lives are brighter because of her.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the Northern Light doctors and nurses on Grant 6 and the IMU, as well as to Northern Light Hospice. Thank you for the care and kindness you bestowed upon Theresa, as well as our family Although our hearts ache in her absence, we are endlessly grateful for the years we were blessed to have with her. She will forever be missed, forever loved, and forever our guiding light.

Family and friends are invited to attend a wake 4 pm to 7 pm Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor.
