Stephen G. Waddell, 72, passed away peacefully, March 27, 2026 with his loving wife by his side.

He was born in Bangor, May 4, 1953, the son of Glenwood and Virginia (Locus) Waddell, and stepmother Kathleen Waddell.

Stephen married the love of his life, Marie-Anne Gosselin, May 25, 1985. He enjoyed spending all of his time with his wife, soulmate and best friend, Marie-Anne. Steve was a big kid at heart and enjoyed watching cartoons and his stuffed toys. He also enjoyed watching football, basketball, baseball and visits with family.

He was predeceased by his parents, sister, Barbara Smart and in-laws, Marcel and Gert Gosselin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marie-Anne; in-laws, Monique Brooks, Marlene Grover and husband, Chip, Mark Gosselin and wife, Heather; two nieces; six nephews; nine great nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held 11 am Friday, April 10, 2026 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., following the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, later this spring.
