Stanley Clark

April 6, 1931 — November 2, 2025

Stanley C. Clark, 94, passed away November 2, 2025, at his home in Corinth. He was born April 6, 1931, in Boyd Lake, ME, the son of Charles Clark and Helen (Hanscom) Clark.

The Clark family lived in Sebec when Stan was young. He left school, as a teenager, to work in the woods with his father, to help support the family. He served in the U.S. Army from 3/51-3/54, and was stationed in Germany. He spoke very fondly of his military experience. Once home he worked for the Maine State Forestry Service in Greenville, ME and Bingham, ME until 1965. While in Greenville working on the fire tower on Big Squaw Mountain, he met his future father-in-law, T. Alden Warman, also a Forester, who invited him home for dinner. At that meal he met Dianne Warman. They were married December 24, 1961.

In 1965, he left the Forestry Service and they moved to Corinth, ME where they raised their family. He worked for 40+ years for the RSU/SAD 64 School Department. He spent the majority of that time as Supervisor of Maintenance for the district. He did whatever job needed to be done to keep the school operational. He took great pleasure in watching all the children grow and frequently come back to the school as teachers and employees.

He was happiest working and being productive. His favorite place to be was in the woods and working his wood lot. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Stan is survived by his sister, Carol Hammond and her husband, William of Vernon, VT; daughters, Diana Shumaker and her husband, David of Corinth, and Heidi Anderson of Brewer; son, Jason Clark and his wife, Tammy of Palmetto, FL; grandchildren, Veronica, Jake, Rebecca, Victoria, Elizabeth and Ethan; several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by and will be sadly missed by his dog, Bella, who was always at the table looking for the last bite of his donut.

In addition to his parents, Charles and Helen (Hanscom) Clark, Stan was predeceased by his wife, Dianne Warman Clark; and infant son, Joshua; siblings, Ella Clark, Shirley Fowles, David Clark, Joan Clark, Edna Smart and Helen Lewis.
