Shirley Ann Crooker

Newburgh, Maine- It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my wife, Shirley. She brought great happiness to my life as we were together for 68 years. We went steady for four years of high school, were engaged for four years of college, and were married for 60 years. Shirley graduated from Brewer High School in 1962 and went on to graduate from cosmetology school in 1963. She also worked at several local shoe factories and hair salons over the years. 

Shirley blessed us with two wonderful children, Tammy Crooker and Michael Crooker who loved her dearly. Mike and his wife, Heather, gave us our three grandchildren, Mikayla, Jack, and Sophie, whom she adored. Shirley is also survived by many family members and friends. 

Shirley was fond of animals, rescuing many over the years that eventually became family pets. In Shirley's memory, donations can be sent to Andie's Animal Care, LLC, 290 Harlow Road Dixmont, ME 04932 with checks made out to Andie Babcock or to the Ark Pope Memorial Animal Shelter, 60 Barber Ln, Cherryfield, ME 04622.
