Shelley (Perisho) Farris, 45, of Winterport, Maine, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 22, 2025, in the comforting presence of her beloved fiancé, Josh Knipping. Born on August 26, 1979, in Iowa, Shelley was raised on her family's farm by her parents, Scott and Peggy (Frazier) Perisho, whose love and values shaped her deep connection to hard work, community, and the land. The family she was born into, including her sisters, Jill, Crystal, and Toni, and the family she built within her tight-knit community of friends, were the heart of her life, shaping her into the loving, generous woman who was equally loved.

Shelley lived a life brimming with warmth, creativity, and an unwavering devotion to those she cherished. She was a nurturing mother to her son, Caleb Farris, and a loving stepmother to Paisleigh Knipping, always putting their happiness first. Her deep connection with her fiancé, Josh, brought joy and dreams of a shared future. Known for her radiant smile, magnificent blue eyes, and generous heart, Shelley has a unique ability to make everyone feel seen and cared for, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

A proud graduate of culinary school, Shelley channeled her passion for food into co-owning Back Ridge Sugar House in Maine, where she crafted delectable treats that delighted her community. Her career at RBC Wealth Management showcased her sharp mind and dedication, building strong relationships with colleagues and clients. Shelley's competitive spirit shone brightly in her love for watching sports, especially as a devoted Iowa Hawkeyes fan, cheering passionately for her team with unmatched enthusiasm. From her farm upbringing to her culinary creations and spirited fandom, Shelley's life was a beautiful blend of creativity and care.

Shelley is survived by her son, Caleb; fiancé, Josh: stepdaughter, Paisleigh; parents, Scott and Peggy; sisters, Jill and her husband, Scott Clayton, Crystal and her husband, Joel Reed, and Toni and her husband, Dustin Smith; as well as, nieces and nephews, Ben, Allison, Carson, Carlee, Carter, Brooklynn, Cameron, and Madelynn, who all brought her immense joy. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Perisho; her maternal grandparents, Marvin and Goldie Frazier; and her aunt Linda Lappe and Uncle Robert Frazier. Her legacy of love, laughter, and delicious creations will live on.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Brookings Smith, 133 Center Street, in Bangor, Maine. Visiting hours, a funeral service, and interment will be held in Iowa next week, with additional details forthcoming.
