Shane Bennet

KELLS - Shane Michael Bennet, 63, passed away June 29, 2021, in Bangor, Maine, USA. He was born October 27, 1958 in Dublin, Ireland, the son of John and Elizabeth (Cheston) Bennet.

Shane is survived by his son, John Bennet; and his daughter Charlotte Bennet.

Shane Bennet was a man of many passions. His career took him down the path of geology and then hydrogeology and then later in life, teaching. Both professions gave him great fulfillment. His interests took him down the path of theology, history and nature. His hobbies took him down the path of motorcycles, windsurfing, books and the outdoors. First and foremost, he was a man of adventure and kindness, every aspect of his life was viewed through the lense of joy, including the job he always declared his most important; fatherhood. Wonderful father and friend, enthusiast of many things, and adventurer in spirit. Rest in peace.
