Sanford Podolsky

Bangor - Sanford Irving Podolsky, beloved husband of Barbara (Rolnick) Podolsky, passed away peacefully at home on September 9, 2025, at the age of 89.

Family was at the center of Sandy's life, and he built a legacy rooted in love, kindness, and togetherness. Nothing brought him greater joy than being surrounded by generations of family, celebrating milestones, and sharing in the simple moments of life.

Sandy was the only child of Anne and Abe Podolsky of Old Town, ME, and is survived by his cherished children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren:

Lee Podolsky (deceased); Timna Podolsky; Naomi (Podolsky) and Bruce Freedberg; Debbie (Podolsky) and Yitzy Wohlberg; Neil and Heather Podolsky; Nisan Moshe and Shevie Podolsky, Oshi, Faigy, Ari, Raizy, Mimi, Tzippy, and Yochanan; Chana (Podolsky) and Moshe Krupper, Noam and Gefen; Simcha and Noa Podolsky, Ella and Shilo; Sara (Podolsky) and Yoni Kishon, Meir and Talya; Yoni and Sari Podolsky, Avigail, Yosi, and Meir; Avraham Yehuda and Adina Podolsky, Chaya Leah, Aharon, and Shlomo; Tova Podolsky; Avi and Akiva Katz, Chana Bayla, Maayan, and Yosef Asher Freedberg; Chiely and Cheryl Wohlberg, Emily and Alex; Adina Wohlberg (deceased); Zacharia and Avital Wohlberg, Adina Miriam and Yaeli; Shim Wohlberg; Zachary Josef and Katherine Elizabeth Rowe, Eloise Charlotte.

A graveside service will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Beth Abraham Cemetery, located on Mt. Hope Avenue in Bangor.

Shiva will be observed at Sandy's home on 52 Fountain St in Bangor from the conclusion of the service until 2pm. Shiva resumes on Sunday, September 14, through Wednesday, September 17, from 9am-7pm, and on Thursday, September 15, from 9am-10am.
