Sandra Murch

Sandra Murch, 86, passed away on March 5, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born in Peabody, MA., on June 27, 1938, the daughter of John and Ruth (Gove) Laitinen.

Sandra was a woman of faith; she spent many years volunteering her time as treasurer to various churches, and organizing the Word of Life Women's Conferences. She loved quilting, gardening, and especially enjoyed her Saturday night suppers with family.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was predeceased by her first husband, Rev. Paul C. Meserve; brothers, Johnny Laitinen II, and Bobby Laitinen; sisters, Ruth Smith and Judy Muccio. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Fred Murch; sons, Glen Meserve, and Wayne Meserve and his wife, Deborah; daughter, Cynthia Reardon and her husband, Arthur; step-son, David Murch and his wife, Anne-Marie; grandchildren, Dawn, Elisha, Nicole, Samantha, Joshua, Caleb, Kevin, Amanda, Pierre-Iine, Vania, Jesula; as well as many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 1-2pm Monday, March 10, 2025 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor, with a funeral service to be held at 2pm. All are welcome to share conversation and refreshments at Charleston Church 185 Main Road Charleston, immediately following the service.
