Ruth A. Doyle Brown, 76, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2022, at Westgate Manor in Bangor. She was born September 6, 1945 in Bradford, PA the daughter of Leroy S. and Twila M. (Ward) Burton.
Ruth enjoyed working for Eastern Maine Medical Center for many years. There are many fond memories of friends and time spent at camp at Christies Campground in Newport.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary H. Brown; children; Barbara and Shawn, John and Lesa, Christopher, and Annie and Travis; grandchildren, Thomas, Samuel, Michael, and Gabriel; brother, Ralph and Nancy; sisters-in-law, Diana and Deborah; special niece Erinn; and Gabriel’s father Wesley. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by the father of her children, Jack; a son, Jeff; and a brother, Robert.
Services will be announced at a later date. Burial will be at Sheffield Cemetery in Sheffield, PA. Gifts in her memory may be made to Alzheimer’s Unit of Westgate Manor, 750 Union Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com
