SANGERVILLE - Roselyn Morrill (Winchester) Priest, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, in Bangor, Maine. Roselyn was born on September 9, 1937, in Hartland, Maine, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (O'Reilly) Winchester. She graduated from Piscataquis Community High School, Class of 1957.

Family was the center of Roselyn's life. She was always quick to reflect on family events, milestones, and the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. She worked alongside her sister, Virginia (Winchester) Hibbard, at Griffin's Clothing Store in Guilford for a time, although she devoted most of her years to raising her family and supporting her husband, Irving A. Priest Jr., with whom she shared 68 years of marriage. She held dear her years on the family farm, remembering the simple pleasures, the hard work, and the meaningful moments that formed the foundation of their life together.

Irving and Roselyn were married on November 10, 1957, at the Sangerville Universalist/Unitarian Church. Together, they built a life rooted in love, commitment, and community. They were long-time members and former officers of the Eastern Star of Sangerville, forming many cherished friendships through their service.

Roselyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her quiet strength, steady work ethic, and deep devotion to her family will be remembered always.

Roselyn is survived by her sister, Virginia Hibbard, and three sons: David Priest and his wife, Chong-Suk, of Dumfries, Virginia; Jeffrey Priest and his wife, Tina of Bradley, Maine and Mark Priest and his wife, Laurie of Venice, Florida. She leaves behind six grandchildren, Kim (Priest) Kelley and her husband, Garrett, Sarah (Priest) Carnicelli and her husband, Paul, Megan (Priest) Daggett and her husband, John, Jason Priest and his, wife Molly, Dylan Borja and his fiancée, Lindsey Blair and Tyler Priest. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Jack, Andy, and Reggie Daggett; Josie and George Priest; and Bennett Borja.

Additionally, Roselyn is survived by her very special and caring niece, Tammy Smith, and her husband, Henry, and by her nephew, Leigh Wiley and his wife, Edie.

In addition to her parents, Roselyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Irving A. Priest Jr., whose passing on March 6, 2026, came only weeks before her own; her brothers, Don Al Winchester and Frederick Winchester; and her sisters, Nancy Godsoe and Betty Dickey.
