HERMON - Rose Marie DiProfio, a beloved mother, wife, and sister, peacefully passed away at her home on November 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brewer, Maine on February 10, 1933, to Donald and Frances Cust, Rose's life was deeply rooted in the love and connection she shared with her family.
She was a devoted daughter to Donald and Frances, a cherished sister to her six siblings, and a loving wife to Gerald, her soulmate from Westborough, Massachusetts. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised eight children: Dawn, David, Cathy, Carrie, Daniel, Scott, Anthony, and Michael. Rose's love extended to her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Her children fondly remember her as an "exceptional mother, loving and selfless," for whom they were always the top priority.
Dad was the love of her life, her true soul mate, together they parented seamlessly. Mom would say every day of her life, "I have the greatest husband and I love him." We will remember Mom with gratitude, love, and happiness, knowing she lived a full and beautiful life.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers - Heather, Danielle, Cathy, Jenny, Mei and Lerisa, who provided Mom with the best of care and compassion. Words cannot express how much their care meant to those of us who loved her.
Rose will be laid to rest alongside her husband Gerald at the Northern Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Caribou, Maine, on June 13th at 2:00 pm. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
