CROSS LAKE and ORONO – Roberta O. Cormier, 96, died September 28, 2014, at Dirigo Pines in Orono. She was born April 10, 1918, in Fort Kent, the Daughter of Paul and Hazel (Mills) Ouellette. For many years Roberta (Bobby) loved making her summer home on Cross Lake and her winter home in Destin, Fla., with her beloved husband "Everett". She often spoke of her summers with family at the camp and the adventures at Cross Lake. Bobby would tell stories of her child hood growing up in Fort Kent and her father’s Drug store business. She and her husband spent many years traveling abroad to Italy and Japan as a result of her husband military service. Bobby was a devoted home maker and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents, Roberta was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years. She is survived by her two sons, Matthew Cormier, of Colchester, Conn., and Paul Cormier, of Fairfax County, Va.; a daughter, Kathy Wolanin, of Centerville, Va.; six grandchildren, Lisa, Steven, Neal and Mike Cormier, Leona and Frank Turner; and three great- grandchildren, Coron Hunter Turner, Lili Cormier, and Frank Turner III.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 8:30-10:30am Friday October 3, 2014 at the Orono Chapel of Brookings-Smith 72 Main St., Orono. A funeral mass will be held 11:00am Friday, October 3, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church 207 York Street, Bangor.
