Robert D. Cochrane, died Thursday February 17, 2022 at Northern Light Medical Center, Bangor, ME.
He was born in Bangor, February 15, 1950, the son of Donald and Teresa (Conway) Cochrane.
He attended Bangor Public and Parochial Schools and he graduated from John Bapst High School, Class of 1968. A graduate of the University of Maine, Orono, he was a member of the University’s Rifle Team, where he was rated as a Marksman, receiving numerous medals and awards. Bob graduated from the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. He served as a deputy for the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office before establishing and operating his Security Business, Central Protection Services. Bob also received movie, film credits for his extensive video work.
Bob was a life long member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Maureen T. Cochrane.
He is survived by his sister, Patricia K. Cochrane, two brothers, John and his wife Donna of Bangor, James and his wife Helen and his niece Kelly Cochrane and his nephew Richard Cochrane of Ellsworth.
Bob’s family wishes to thank the staff at Engel Place, Ross Manor, and the medical staff on the sixth floor of Northern Light Medical Center for the wonderful care given to Bob
