Richard Allen Lawrence, 80, died unexpectedly, September 26, 2014 at his home. He was born in Hampden, February 8, 1934, son of Thomas W. Lawrence, Sr. and Marguerite (Canwell) Lawrence Hayward. Richard graduated from Hampden Academy, and served in the US Air Force and Coast Guard. He was a member of the Mystic Lodge #65 of Hampden.
He was formerly married to, Idella Singer, Barbara Nutter, and Barbara Nason.
He was predeceased by his father, mother, brother, Thomas Lawrence, Jr. and sister, Priscilla Kimball.
He is survived by a son, Floyd Lawrence of Warren, daughters, Sandra Lawrence and Mary Lawrence, both of Rockland, Amy Burns, Angela Mauger and Amanda Sands of Newburgh; stepson, Robert Dorr of Holden; sister-in-law, Marge Lawrence, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday November 1, 2014 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St. Bangor.
