CARMEL.

Richard R. Hebert, 80, passed away peacefully August 27, 2026, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 09, 1946, in Waterville ME, the son of Gerard and Alice (Lacroix) Hebert.

He served with the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Railroad and the USPS. He enjoyed building, camping, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. He celebrated 36 years of marriage with his wife Terry in November.

Surviving in addition to his wife Terry (Quirion) Hebert, are his sons, Brian Hebert and his wife Trisha, Robert Hebert and his wife Elizabeth, Matthew Ceban and his wife Racheal; daughters, Vickie Theriault and her husband Jeffrey, Amy Alaimo and her husband Matthew; eleven grandchildren: Ashley, Carl, Brittney, Michael, Christopher, Jamie, Tenley, Khia, Joslynn, Nola, and Cade; several great grandchildren; sisters Nancy Hebert and Debbie Lamontagne. In addition to his parents, Richard was predeceased by Annlynn.

Relatives and friends are welcome to Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, with Pastor Scott Taylor, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St. in Bangor, following the services. Those who wish to remember Richard in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Maine Veterans' Home Augusta, 35 Heroes Way, Augusta, ME 04330.
