Philip N. Stickney, 83, passed away on July 7, 2026. He was Born June 25, 1943 in Bangor, the son Bert and Virginia (Page) Stickney.
Phil Graduated from Hampden Academy, class of 1963. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. After his time in the Army, Phil worked at Knights automotive until they closed in 1991. Phil then worked maintenance at the Bangor Supreme Court building until he retired.
Phil was an avid fan of the outdoors, from camping to fishing, to walking down by the water. He loved to work outdoors in his garden or tending the fish in his pond. Anyone riding by Phils house would always see him mowing his lawn. Phil was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Brewer
In addition to his parents, Phil was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Hughes; grandson, David E. Stickney; and special friend, Mary Pressley; Phil is survived by his two daughters Jeri Lyn Poulin and Polly Freeman and husband, Brent; son, David P. Stickney; twin brother, Gerry and wife, Hattie; grandchildren, Rachel Poulin, Whitney Poulin, Levi York, Ashleigh Winchester, and Taylor Burke; nieces and nephews, Cindy and Timmy Newcomb, Linda Kimball and George Hughes; he is also survived by two special great-grandsons, Landon and Oliver Sprague, with whom he enjoyed many fun sleepovers.
A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
