Paula Emerson, 67, passed away June 5, 2025, after a battle with cancer.
She was born in Old Town, April 7, 1958, the daughter of Clarence A. and Pauline B. (Bishop) Thibodeau.
Paula was employed with James River Paper Mill for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Old Town and the Elks Club of Old Town.
She loved to sing karaoke, dance, hunt and fish. She enjoyed camping with her very special friends, the "Dam Glad Club."
She was predeceased by her parents, two nephews, Clarence Curtis, Dustin Dawson and a niece, Janice Curtis.
Surviving are; her partner, Leo Gendreau of Milford; her step children, Jenny Emerson. Samantha Emerson and Danny Emerson, Jr., Christine Jones and Heather Gendreau; five sisters, Linda Harris of Old Town, Sandra Vaillancourt of Old Town, Bonnie Saucedo and husband, Jaime of Morro Bay, CA, Judy Avery and husband, Robin of Greenfield, ME and Caren Torres and husband Hector of Paso Robles, CA; nieces, Lisa Curran, Tonya Doucette, Sonia, Karina and Marissa Saucedo, Jamie Mckay, Destiney Dawson (God daughter), Sierra Flores, and Amber Molloy; nephews, Jeffrey Harris, Ryan Vaillancourt and Archie Torres; aunt Paula (auntie P) will be greatly missed by her great nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Emma, Stella, Parker, Kaylie and Angela; Christopher, Andrew, Riley, Logan, Jake, Maddox, Reuben, Ian, Nico, M.J. and Adrian ; many, many close friends and Paula's special canine companion, Koel and feline friend, Sukie.
A benefit and celebration of her life will be held 1 pm to 5 pm Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Old Town Elks Club, 37 Fourth St., Old Town.
We would like to extend a warm and loving thank you to Ross Manor and Gentiva Hospice, not only for the care given to Paula, but also to our family in our time of grief.
