November 26, 1948 — July 21, 2025

Myron "Buzz" "Buzzy" Gray, Jr.

Carmel - Myron N. Gray, Jr., 76, passed peacefully on July 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his wife, daughter, and son-in-law in Holden after a long battle with Parkinson's. He was the son of Myron Gray, Sr. and Ethel Garland, born on November 26, 1948, in Biddeford.

Buzz graduated from Hermon High School, Class of 1967. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Army National Guard as a Sharpshooter and Air Medic (112th Co.) 1968-1974. While serving, Buzz met the love of his life, Genevieve "Jeannie" Arnold as they settled in Hermon. They celebrated 55 years of marriage in May. Buzz was also employed at Eastern Fine Paper and Arnold Electric, working for his father-in-law. After completion of electrical trade school, Buzz started his own company, Gray Electric, in 1972, retiring in 2016. During his years in the trade industry, in addition to electrical, Buzz built/renovated homes as well as owned/operated Gray's Country Store in Carmel alongside his wife. Buzz enjoyed hunting, fishing, NASCAR Racing, playing cribbage and pool, and following the high school basketball tournaments.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Richard "Richie" Gray, and a sister, Joan Gray.

Myron is survived by his wife, Genevieve Gray; daughter, Heather Campbell and her husband, Matthew of Holden; grandchildren, Kyle Gray and his wife, Ashley, Kayla Gray and Fiancée, Beth Caron, Olivia (Campbell) Alden and her husband, Zach, Allie Campbell and her significant other, Sawyer Erickson, and Reese Campbell; great grandchildren, Emmie Alden, Kinsley and Gavin Gray; brother, Dennis Gray and his wife, Diana; sisters, Anne Hammond and her husband, Edward, Kathy Whitney, Jayne Niziol and her husband, Marek, and JoAnne Webber and her husband, Bruce; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and neighbors; special fishing and hunting buddies (you know who you are).

We will always remember Buzz as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother - an admirable family man. He was a loyal friend, so giving, generous, saw the light in others, and helped so many in need without hesitation or expectation of a repaid favor.

Many thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice Care, especially nurse Nicole.

A memorial gathering will be held later in the fall.
