Michael Jude Grenier was born in Lewiston Maine on August 30, 1958, the son of Conrad and Florence (Cloutier) Grenier. He passed away February 3, 2026, at the age of 67, surrounded by loved ones. He lived his life to the fullest, surviving several near-death experiences only to be brought down unexpectedly and suddenly by a rare and aggressive form of liver cancer.

Michael graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1977. He started working at a young age, passing papers for the Lewiston Sun Journal, followed by jobs at Food Town and Country Kitchen. During his adult years he worked for Acorn Slipper until 1984, when he found his calling in the telecommunications field and became a Telecommunication Technician for Executone. He and Debbie met when she started as a Telecommunication Technician at Executone in 1985. They lived in Lewiston and Gorham before finally making their home in Bangor, when Michael was transferred to Executone's Bangor office. They were married in 1998. Michael continued his career with CTI and Consolidated Communications until he retired in June of 2021. He was a well-known technician and highly respected by his coworkers and customers alike.

Michael loved the Patriots, the Red Sox and golf and was a member at Bangor Muni for over 20 years. He was a craft beer enthusiast and held mug club memberships at GrittysGeaghans, the Original Black Bear Brewing, Orono Brewing, and Marsh Island Brewing in both Orono and Hampden. He also belonged to the Nocturnem Koozie Crew. Michael, acting in his role as a Notary, had the privilege of officiating wedding ceremonies for his close friends, nephews, and niece. He enjoyed spending time at the family camp on Pushaw Lake where he was the first to raise the flag every year to signify Camp Pines was open for the season.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Debbie Rice; and mother, Flo; are his siblings; David and wife, Rachel, of Sabattus, James and wife, Beverly, of Oxford, Debra Reynolds and husband, Jody, of Grants NM, Timothy and fiancé, Charolotte Morton, of Lewiston; in-laws, Dale Rice of Corinna, David Rice of Brewer, Dianne Rice-Hansen and husband, Brian, of Bangor; his daughter, Renee Caron and her two daughters; Malaya and Aisha of North Carolina; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
