Mary Lou (Del Savio) Weaver

Mary Lou (Del Savio) Weaver, 90, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 22, 2026, in Bangor, Maine.

Born on July 6, 1936, in Gloversville, New York, Mary Lou was the cherished daughter of Joseph and Mary (Sorento) Del Savio.

The defining moment of Mary Lou's life took place in Hampden, Maine, where her dear friend, Alta Brown, shared the Gospel with her. Mary Lou accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior, a decision that transformed her life and created a legacy of faith that will impact generations to come. She loved serving the Lord with fierce passion. She dedicated her life to teaching the Bible, sharing her faith with everyone she met, and making disciples. Her family will forever remember her powerful prayers, including how she faithfully prayed her son, Jeffrey, into the Kingdom of God.

Mary Lou was an active church member who loved singing praises to her Lord, a talent she did beautifully. When she was not ministering, she found great joy in cooking for those she loved. She also cherished quiet moments at the 'Back Shore', where she loved to watch the ocean and take in the beauty of the sunset.

One of her many favorite scriptures, which reflects the strength of her life's journey, was Isaiah 40:31: "Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary."

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mary Del Savio; and beloved father, Joseph Del Savio; and her paternal grandparents, Carmine and Julia Del Savio; maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Louisa Sorento. Mary Lou loved her family deeply, she is survived by sons, Jeffrey Weaver (Michele) and Rodney Weaver (Tammy); grandchildren, Joseph Weaver, Chadrick Weaver, Misty Stewart, and Bella Weaver; great-grandchildren, Zoey, Charlotte and Marigold Weaver, Chase and Caden Knight, Kadence and Kolton Stewart.
