Mary Jane Williams, 88, has passed away on October 27th, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ernest and Mary Orme.
Mary Jane was raised in the greater Philadelphia area and began her working career as a nurse and then became a Pastor's wife, serving in churches and Christian education for nearly 65 years. She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Dr. Foster Williams. They celebrated 68 years of marriage in June of 2025. They served in ministry together in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, California and Maine, and a short-term mission to Nicaragua. Mary Jane had a love for Christian performing arts; including, The Living Last Supper, The Music Machine and The Chrismon Tree Ceremony, which she led and directed throughout her Christian ministries career. Mary Jane also formed and directed the traveling musical group, Revelations.
Close to Mary Jane's heart was anytime she spent with family; including holidays, birthday parties, family gatherings and backyard get togethers as well as a bit of travel. Mary Jane loved the ocean, nature, all creatures great and small, laughter, music, art, crafting, game playing and dining and shopping with her husband, daughters, grandchildren and friends.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to those who loved her. She will be greatly missed but has left behind a legacy of love. Mary Jane was a light shining from Heaven above and how blessed we all were to have felt that beam of sunshine in our lives.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Rev. Dr. Foster Williams, are her daughters, Lisa Kempton and husband Jeff of Gorham, Karen Bussiere and husband Dan of Hollis; Grandchildren, Victoria and Chris St. Louis, Gabrielle and Steve Scholtens, Noah and Elizabeth Bussiere, Ben and Ravin Bussiere; along with Great Grandsons, Henry and Owen Bussiere, the sons of Noah and Elizabeth; Brother Rick and wife Yvonne Orme of Prospect Park Pennsylvania; many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania. In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was predeceased by her older brother Bud Orme.
