Marvin L Nutter, 81, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 8, 2026. He was born November 14, 1944, in Bangor, Me, the son of Lewis and Grace (Torrey) Nutter.
Marvin graduated from Bangor High School. After graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps. He served during the Vietnam War as a Transport Driver. After his service, he came back to Bangor, where he worked as a Truck Driver for Merrill Transport for 7 years and Irving Oil for 28 years. Truck Driving was who he was and he loved it. His hobby was looking at Oldie Cars, and his favorite car was his 1957 Oldsmobile.
Above all, Marvin was a man who believed in God and lived the Bible every day. He made it his purpose in life to show God's love to everyone met. He wanted to be remembered for planting seeds for God's kingdom. It was so important to him that everyone knew the way to heaven.
In the last years of his Life, he was attending the Newport Church of God in Newport, and The Mansion Church in Bangor. He loved to sing during services and minister to the homeless through providing meals, going to the streets or giving the shirt off his back.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was predeceased by his brother, Richard Nutter; his brother-in-law, Vaughn Speed; his sons, Daniel Nutter and Christopher Nutter. He is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Carolyn (Robinson) Nutter; his sister, Christine Speed; his three sons, Michael Nutter, Scott Nutter (Laurie), and Jonathan Nutter; his two daughters, Cindi Valley (Kevin) and Michelle Young (Bobby); his grandchildren, Joshua, Jared, Jacob, Josh, Justin, Daniel, Michala, Megan, Abigail, Lindsay and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his ex-wife, Muriel Nutter.
