Rockport - I, Majorie L Haskins Hill, passed away on June 27, 2026. I was born on October 23, 1929, in Lubec, ME, to Edward M Haskins and Mary (Lawrence) Haskins.
I was predeceased by my parents, three brothers, Edward M Jr., Hollis E, and Robert A, and my beloved husband, Ralph G Hill with which we spent 67 wonderful years together.
My survivors are our three sons and our three daughters, of whom I am very proud to have been their mother. Dean and his wife Mary Beth, Karen and her husband Philip, Beverly and her husband Harold, Dennis and his wife Debra, Kathi and her late husband Scott, and Brian and his partner Dana. Fifteen wonderful grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Jennifer, Ryan, Ben, Sam, Jeff, Kelly, Kim, Christie, Scott, Melanie, Lindsay, Adam, and Kelli. Seventeen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. I will especially miss my sister-in-law's Freda, and Connie. I want you all to know that I love each and every one of you.
I do not want you to grieve for me, as My Dad said to me once, Daughter, do not grieve for your mom, as she is at rest and in a good place.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with a gathering of remembrance following in the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
Burial service will be in the Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine, in the very near future.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests: Daughter of the Nile Foundation, 6705 Mesa Drive, Austin, TX 78731, or The Sussman House, 40 Anchor Drive, Rockport, ME 04856.
Thank you to my beautiful family for being along with me through these years when I needed help and support. I will love you all forever. God Bless You.
