Lynne Veinote

February 29, 1964 — November 12, 2025

HAMPDEN - Lynne Marie Veinote, 61, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on November 12, 2025 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family.

Born February 29, 1964, Lynne spent her childhood creating memories with family and friends while enjoying the many pleasures provided by the surroundings of Swan Lake such as swimming, boating, water-skiing, picking berries and countless walks to the local country store. Lynne was a Hampden native and proud of her roots graduating from Hampden Academy, class of 1982. During high school, Lynne enjoyed the camaraderie of being on a team, playing on the schools' soccer and basketball teams. After high school she found the same joy on the volleyball court, for over 20 years, and more recently on the pickleball court.

Lynne was the rock of the family, facing all of life's ups and downs head on with kindness, grace, optimism and determination. She was also the heart, always putting family before anything; hosting family gatherings, providing support in good times and bad, and making relatives feel special whenever she could. Her loyalty to her "village" of family, friends and friends that became family was unmatched, with many relationships extending across decades. Lynne's loyalty carried beyond her family and friends and into the workplace, with her 20+ year career in insurance at Liberty Mutual and 21 years spent at True North Anesthesia (formerly Nurse Anesthesia of Maine), where she retired from her role as the Chief Operating Officer in April of 2025.

Lynne enjoyed the outdoors; whether it be climbing Mt Katahdin in nearly all decades of her life, sipping margaritas on the beaches of the Caribbean, playing a card game in the woods while camping, or cracking open a lobster at the family camp on Swan Lake; it was always about making memories, which included one of her several cruise ship adventures that she embarked on, most notable, an Alaskan Cruise. Beyond the outdoors, she could be found adventuring with her husband, spending time with family, meeting up with friends, cheering in the stands of Hampden Academy basketball and football games, taking in a good concert, cutting up the dance floor or watching Patriots games. Above all, Lynne found the greatest joy in life being a wife, mom, and "Mimi".

Lynne is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, David; her two daughters, Erika Benn and her Husband, Marshall, of Hampden, Jenna Mangano and her husband, Dan, of Colorado; two brothers, Eugene Arsenault II and his wife, Jackie, Mark Arsenault and his wife, Tracey; three grandchildren, (her "boys"), Wyatt Benn, Owen and Noah Mangano; three step-grandchildren, Taylor, Madison and Michael Benn; mother-in-law, Frances Veinote; three sisters-in-law, Mary Ross and her husband, Larry, Joanne Jackson and her partner, Sharon Pouliot, Diane Farley and her husband, Jim; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and favorite couch companion, her dog, Reine, all of whom she loved greatly. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Arsenault; father-in-law, Paul Veinote, and special friend of Eugene Arsenault, Frances Bowen.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 5-7p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00a.m., Sunday, November 23.
