Linda Lou Smith

Linda Lou Smith, 70, of Brewer, Maine, passed away on August 28, 2026 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on May 25,1956 in Chiswick, England, Linda dedicated her life to her family and her career, touching the lives of many with her hardworking and loving nature.

Linda's career spanned various roles, from working in shoe shops and blueberry factories to Jordan's Meats. She spent the last 20 years of her career as a flagger for the power company, a role she dedicated herself to with pride. Linda's commitment to her work was paralleled only by her devotion to her family.

Known affectionately as "Didda" by her grandchildren and their friends, Linda was a pillar of strength and love in her family. She was an incredible grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Her love for animals and her unwavering support for her family are fondly remembered by all who knew her. She also enjoyed fishing, and junking with her husband Rockey.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Carla Smith-Moore and her husband Anthony of Brewer; her son, Rockey Smith Jr. of Winterport; Grandchildren Jeffrey Smith, Brock Smith-Moore, Cole Smith-Moore of Brewer, and Bretton Farren of Bangor. She also leaves behind her brother, Carlton Sanborn Jr. and his wife Janice of Maryland; niece Kayla Camper and her husband Zak of Maryland; and nephews Aaron and Eric Sanborn of Maryland, along with many more family and friends who cherished her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rockey Smith Sr.; her mother, Maud Sanborn; and her father, Carlton Sanborn Sr and many more...

Linda's legacy of love, dedication, and kindness will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege to know her.

A private memorial will be held for immediate family members, honoring Linda's life and legacy in a manner she would have wished.
