Lester Lord

BREWER - Lester L. Lord Sr., 84, died April 28, 2025, after a brief illness at a Bangor Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1940, in Exeter, the son of Guy and Bertha (Townsend) Lord.

Lester graduated from Carmel High School, Class of 1958. He married his childhood sweetheart, Jeannette (Hewes) Lord and they settled in Brewer. They celebrated 64 years of marriage. Lester has been a faithful and loyal member of the First Pentecostal Church of Brewer for the last 40 years. Lester has special memories of camping, fishing, and spending time with family in Eastport.

In addition to his wife, Jeannette (Hewes) Lord, Lester is survived by his daughter Edith Wardwell and her husband, Brian, of Orrington; son Lester L. Lord Jr. and his wife, Valerie, of Levant; daughter Lisa Mayor of Florida; son Darren Lord and his wife, Heidi, of Winterport; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Lester was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Lord of Brewer.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the First Pentecostal Church of Brewer, 14 Parkway South, Brewer. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer.
