Lawrence H. Bishop, 91, passed away January 17, 2026. He was born on May 2, 1934 in Orono, Maine, to Francis J. Bishop and Frances L. Bishop.
Lawrence was the best father in the world! He was always there for his children. He enjoyed fishing trips, basketball games, antiquing, woodworking, and anything we could con him into doing with us.
He was the best military story teller. The family would like to thank Steve Collins, his basketball Buddy, for taking him to all the Hermon Hawks Games, and Rick Wheeler for taking him to all the Massachusetts games.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by brothers, Leo and Felix Bishop; sisters, Pauline Bogan and Theresa Daneault; ex-wife and mother of his children, Mary Bishop. He is survived by his children, Colleen "Connie" Ramsey and her husband, Louis "Bud", Lawrence "Bub" Bishop and his wife, Dawn, Mary Holbrook and her husband Randy; grandchildren, Louis Ramsay and wife, Abbey, Sarah Ramsay, Taylor Bishop and wife, Steph, Justin Holbrook and fiancée, Jessica Ladd, Logan Holbrook; step-grandchildren, Ryan Graves and wife, Devon, Derrick Graves wife, Emily, Shawn Graves and wife, Teile; great-grandchildren, Louis Ramsay, Lydia Bishop, Myla Bishop, Alice Bishop; Jackson Holbrook; step-grandchildren, Sydney, Parker, Alli, Hope, Drew, Harlow, Layla, Ashton, and Landen; and brother, James Bishop; as well as many close friends.
