Karen Bibber

KAREN MICHELLE BIBBER,

BRADFORD - Karen M Bibber, 56, died peacefully in her home after a short battle with stage four esophageal cancer. She was born December 20, 1968, in E. Orange, New Jersey the youngest daughter of Robert J. and Joyce (Hansen) Travers.

Karen graduated from Mt Ararat High School, Class of 1987 in Topsham, Maine. After graduation she worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry. In 1993, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert M Bibber Jr. in Jacksonville, North Carolina where he was serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. After he left the military in 1995, they moved back to Harpswell, Maine to start a family. They were married more than 32 years and eventually settled in Bradford, Maine in 2021.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert Bibber Jr., are her daughter, Kayla (Bibber) Cassel; her two sons, Dustin R. Bibber and Shawn T. Bibber, and two sisters, Dottie McCarthy and Beverly Carl.

A memorial service for Karen will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
