June Willard Kittridge of Orono, Maine passed away on July 13, 2026 after a brief illness. She was 95 years old.

June was born on June 1, 1931, to Clyde Albe Willard and Rose Mary Folson Willard. She grew up with her four sisters on the family's farm in Ripley, Maine. After graduating from Dexter High School, she dated a young man from a neighboring farm, Charles Kittridge. They married in 1950 and had three children, Deborah, Brian and Mark. When Mark entered Asa Adams Elementary School in Orono, she started work as a baker for the school lunch program. Years later, former students remember the delicious rolls she made daily. She later worked as a clerk typist at the Political Science Department of the University of Maine in Orono. She retired after 16 years of service at the university.

Charlie and June spent many happy summers surrounded by family at their camp on Alamoosook Lake in Orland and always had room for family and friends. They enjoyed playing bridge with friends and researching genealogy. They traveled across the country and to Hawaii, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, and England. They were long-time members of the Orono United Methodist Church. June's favorite role was that of grandmother for her five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was a very good cook, and no holiday meal was complete without Grammie's delicious chocolate cream roll. She was a talented quilter and knitter and for years made mittens for school children who had none in the winter.

In addition to her parents and husband of 74 years, Charles, June was predeceased by sisters, Martha Spaulding and Marilyn Olmsted. She is survived by her sisters, Roberta Olmsted of Fairhope, AL, and Brenda (Ken) Lyons of Leesburg, FL; a daughter, Deborah (Jim) Williams of Lilburn, GA; sons, Brian (Robin) Kittridge of No. Yarmouth, ME, and Mark (Kathy) Kittridge of Orono, ME; grandchildren, Aaron (Eve) Williams of Lawrenceville, GA, Amanda (Zack) Kramers of No. Windham, ME, Jamie (Luke) Frederick of Lebanon, ME, Daniel Kittridge of Providence, RI, Kristine Kittridge of Lewiston, ME; five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Westgate Center for Rehabilitation and Alzheimer's Care for June's care over past year.
