Judith Elaine Coombs (Kinney), 84, passed away on October 29, 2026, leaving behind a family who loved her dearly and a legacy of faith, love, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Born in Georgetown, Massachusetts, Judy was the daughter of Raymond Joseph Kinney and Virginia Tracy Kinney. She shared 62 years of marriage with her beloved husband, David Coombs, and together their family remained at the center of her world. She cared deeply for those she loved and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including gardening, cooking, and reading. She also enjoyed cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox, and occasionally the New England Patriots.
Above all, Judy loved her family and her Lord. Her faith was an important part of who she was, and she carried a deep desire for others to know the Lord and share in the promise of heaven. She wanted those she loved to know the hope and comfort that came from her faith. Her love for her family was evident in the way she cared for them and in the importance she placed on their lives, both here on earth and in eternity.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 62 years, David Coombs; her children, Daniel Coombs and his wife, Jamie; Julie Miller and her husband, Dwayne; and Rachel Faris and her husband, Seth. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Andrew Coombs, Virginia Coombs, Caleb Tsimekles and his wife, Harini, Nikki Tsimekles, Sophia Tsimekles, Isaiah Faris and his wife, Sara, Hannah Reilly and her husband, Jacob, and Abigail Faris and her fiancée, Alexander Dubiel.
Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren, Braecyn Tsimekles, Martin Reilly, Astrid Coombs, and her soon-to-be-born great-grandchild, Noah Tsimekles. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Dole, and many other extended family members who will cherish her memory.
Judy was predeceased by her parents, Raymond Joseph Kinney and Virginia Tracy Kinney, and her brother, Raymond (Jack) Joseph Kinney Jr.
Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they will carry forward the love she gave, the memories they shared, and the faith that meant so much to her. Her life was a testament to the importance of family and the enduring hope found in the Lord. Judy will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her.
