Josie Hicks

April 4, 1958 — June 11, 2025

CHARLESTON - Josie P. "Jodi" Hicks, 67, died unexpectedly June 11, 2025, at her home. She was born April 4, 1958, in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of Harry A. and Lulu (McKechnie) Decker.

Jodi attended Dexter Regional High School, later went on to receive her GED from Nokomis Regional High School, in 1989. In her early years, she worked as a waitress and at the woolen mill in Corinna. She later worked at C.M. Almy & Sons in Pittsfield for approximately 8 years then moved on to the United States Postal Service where she worked for the remainder of her time until retirement. She loved playing bluegrass and country music with family. Her love of music was so profound and loved having get-togethers with her brothers and sisters in earlier years, singing and playing their instruments (all by ear), and playing cards and karaoke as well. She enjoyed watching and buying jewelry from the Jewelry Channel, going antiquing, yard sales with Dan, and spending time with her sisters, Connie and Christine. Jodi loved spending time with her grandchildren, from days on the farm, to her favorite fishing spots she would take them, or even a simple movie night at home. She especially enjoyed time with her son, Danny, watching the Boston Red Sox and PPV Wrestling.

Surviving Jodi, are her sons, Cory E. Price Sr. and his wife, Shari, of St. Albans and Daniel S. Price, of Charleston; daughter, Kristie M. Price, of St. Albans; seven grandchildren, Cortney, Kobey, Cory Jr., Zachary, Jacob, Katelyn, and Samantha; brother, Wallace "Wally" Decker; sister, Constance "Connie" Ballard and longtime companion, Charlie and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Jodi was predeceased by her sisters, Judy, Gladys, Christine and brothers, George and Frank.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend her Celebration of Life which will be determined at a later date. Those who wish to remember Jodi in a special way may make gifts and donations to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt Hope Ave, Bangor, ME 04401, in honor of moms love for animals.
