John Haney

John L. Haney, 63, died unexpectedly December 27, 2025, at his home in Hermon. He was born July 14, 1962, in Southbridge, MA., the son of James and Edith (Allen) Haney.

John graduated from Corinth High School, Class of 1980. Following graduation, he worked for GE Bangor and joined the Air National Guard. He later made the Air Guard his full-time job and remained with the guard for 20 years of active service. He was an active member of the VFW post 3381 Old Town and American Legion post 75 in Old Town. He spent his last four years with the one he loved, Selene DiNapoli.

John has one daughter, Taylar Ashtyn Haney.

Surviving in addition to his daughter, Taylar Haney, and his mother, Edith Haney, are 8 siblings, Anne (Haney) Martin, James Haney Jr, Ellen (Haney) Martin, Daniel Haney, Susan (Haney) Dugay, Joseph Haney, Patrick Haney, William Haney; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, John was predeceased by a brother, Stephen Haney.

A private service will be scheduled later for family and close friends.
