Jeanette Wyman

Jeanette Redman Wyman, 92, passed away on November 18, 2025. She was born on June 5, 1933 in Hampden, Maine, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Bryer) Redman. Jeanette built a life rich in family, friendship, and community; touching the lives of all who knew her.

Jeanette had a deep and unwavering love for her family. To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she was lovingly known as 'Mammie' - a name that perfectly captured her gentle spirit and her joy in reading, playing and spending time with them.

For thirty-eight consecutive years, Jeanette hosted a large family reunion, a tradition that became a cherished cornerstone of family connection. She was also an avid amateur photographer, taking hundreds of photos. She was well-known for her love of food, especially seafood. Her family fondly remembers her good-natured habit of tucking a little extra seafood from the buffet into her purse to enjoy later - a story that will continue to bring smiles for years to come.

Jeanette formed lasting friendships through her involvement in the community and Hermon Baptist Church. She was also a longtime member of the Cold Brook Road Christmas Club, an activity that warmed her heart and festive spirit.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Pam Wiggin and spouse, Keith, Ron Wyman, Lori Day and spouse, Devon, Gene Wyman and spouse, Karma; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Redman, Delma Henderson, Sylvia McGinley and spouse, Doug, Sally Hartley, Dennis Redman and spouse, Rachel; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Walter Wyman; sister, Marlene Stearns; brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hartley and Frank Henderson.

Jeanette will be remembered for her kindness, her humor, her devotion to family, and the countless moments of love that she leaves behind. Her legacy lives on in the many people whose lives she brightened.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 6-7:30pm, Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden, where a funeral service will be held at 12pm, Tuesday, November 25, 2025, immediately followed by interment in Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden.
