James 'Jim' Kevin Patrick White, 71, of Eddington passed away after a battle with cancer on April 7, 2026, with his wife by his side. He was born on April 25, 1954 in Brentwood, NY., to Edward W. and Mary Tenisci White.
Jim was a man who lived life to the fullest. He graduated Brentwood high school and had begun his Pre-Med schooling when his passion for building muscle cars pulled him in a different direction. He was a long-haul owner-operator truck driver who travelled the US, enjoying Maine more than any other state, especially due to the calm lifestyle. He moved to Maine as a young adult, working for a short while logging in Millinocket. Jim opened a garage in Eddington, building hot rods and muscle cars. His business, Muscle Cars LTD., took him to Australia (where he partnered with a local business) and then on to Brazil. He had hopes of bringing his wife to Australia to show her how beautiful it is.
Jim loved travelling and it usually involved cars, though his Harley was a great passion for him, too. He and his wife loved to vacation in Florida. Every September they travelled to the Adirondacks to show cars in the Adirondacks Nationals. Jim was known as 'The Mustang Guy' in Eddington and people came from near and far to get advice, parts, have work done, rebuild a car, or just talk cars. His baby was his Pro Street Mustang that he built and showed. Jim never boasted, but the Mustang was featured in magazines and articles, sent to many shows; travelling for months at a time. Jim also raced Funny Cars and an online search brought him to his car, "Plastic Fantastic", in a museum in Florida. He was in the process of dusting off a stored dragster that he was going to teach his daughter to race this summer.
Jim began to enjoy the older vintage cars as well as the process of using them in the business he and his wife owned, Crystal Coach Limousines, for themed affairs. Jim loved the limousine business which brought him and his wife many wonderful clients, repeat customers who became friends, chauffeurs, and employees who became family. His big heart led him to do benefit donation work for grieving families during Christmas Light Tours.
Jim is survived by his soulmate and wife, Brenda Plaumann White, they were more than a couple, they were best friends who were truly joined at the hip in everything they did. Together, they took great pride in their family. His beloved daughter, Casey Lynn Evans and fiancé, Seth Hermanski. His extended family meant the world to him, mother-in-law, Arlene Cardimino, who he called 'Ma'; Brenda's children, Jeremy Plaumann, Justin Plaumann and wife, Faith, Jessica DelCastillo and husband, Joel; grandchildren, Tiana Mitton and Quincy Mitton; he was overjoyed to be a great-grandfather to Ava Mae Curtis. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his best friend whom he called brother, Larry Bowden of Dedham, they enjoyed rebuilding, talking cars, and helping each other when needed.
