James Catlett

James “JT” T. Catlett Jr., 82, passed away September 18, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born October 20, 1935 to James T. Catlett Sr. and Jessie (Dodd) Catlett in Schenectady, New York.
James graduated high school in the class of 1954 at Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, MA. He then went to Norwich University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. After graduation he served in the Army Signal Corps and was honorably discharged as a Captain. James married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Pat” (Parker) Catlett on September 3, 1960. During their 57 years of marriage they raised a family and enjoyed bird watching together. JT also had his own interests of bicycling, jazz, golf, and photography. He retired as a Computer Programmer Analyst from Pennsylvania BlueShield in Camphill, PA. In 2006 JT and Pat moved to Glenburn, ME and were active members of the Orono United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by wife, Elizabeth “Pat” (Parker) Catlett.
He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Netzley and her husband, Gene, and their two daughters Liliana and Lauren of Lancaster, PA; one son, Geoffrey Catlett and his wife, Melissa and their two sons Tristan of Charles Town, WV, and Jeremy of Bangor, ME; one sister, Elsie L. Boehm of Mt. Tabor NJ, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for both James “JT” and Elizabeth “Pat” Catlett will be announced in the spring of 2019. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
