Harvey "Stuart" Parent

Harvey "Stuart" Parent, 85, passed away peacefully July 18, 2026, at a Bangor, ME Hospital. Born October 12, 1940, in Bangor. Stuart and his predeceased brother, Ronald Parent were raised in Charleston, ME by Hazel and Lester Turner.

He attended Charleston Grammar School and later graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in Charleston in 1959. Stuart met Jeannette (Sigouin) Parent in 1962 and married in 1964 settling and starting their family in Bangor until moving to Winterport with their young family in 1976. Stuart's careers included 18 years with Freese's Department Store and most recently 28 years with Marden's of Brewer.

Stuart is survived by his wife, of nearly 64 years, Jeannette; sons, Lee Parent (Rebecca) of Verona Island and Gary Parent (Doreen) of Hermon; a daughter, Marie Chausse of Winterport; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren, whom he loved and enjoyed immensely.

Forever lovingly remembered as Husband, Dad, "Pop" and "Grampie."

Relatives and friends are welcome to call 11:30am-1:30pm on Saturday July 25, 2026, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, ME.

Procession to follow for Funeral Prayers and the Rite of Committal will be prayed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon Rd. Winterport at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers donations to Winterport Volunteer Fire Dept. or Winterport Ambulance Service are encouraged.
