Glenn Raymond Smith, 60, passed away October 10, 2026, after a long illness. He was born in Millinocket, June 26, 1966, the son of Lowell W. and Gloria J. (Sleeper) Smith.

Glenn was a life long resident of Sherman. He was employed with Sherman Lumber Company and was a volunteer fireman.

Glenn enjoyed canoeing, kayaking, hunting and rowing. His hobbies were woodworking, crafting and collecting coins.

He was predeceased by his father.

Surviving are his mother, Gloria; brother, Linwood Smith and wife, Regina; two sisters, Becky Chamberlain and husband Steven, and Holly Chamberlain and husband, Mike; his cousin and buddy, Randy Smith; aunts, Lynda, Charlene and Faye; several nephews, nieces and cousins and his canoeing pal, Herb Fithian.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 1 pm Saturday, October 17, 2026 at the Washburn Memorial Church, 3 Church St., Sherman. The family invites folks to share memories and refreshments in the vestry, following the service. Gifts in his memory may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, New England, P.O.
