Gertrude Marion Hobson passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor on Tuesday, August 19th. Trudy, as she insisted everyone call her, was born December 29, 1941. She worked as a competent nurse in the O.R. and as a talented seamstress, but the roles she cherished the most were wife and mother. Her capacity for love and compassion, and her unwavering devotion to her family made this world a much kinder place.
Trudy leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her sister, Sharon Vaughn. She will be greatly missed by her family she loved so much, her amazing neighbors and friends, and her precious cats, James and Sasha.
The family takes comfort knowing that she now gets to be reunited with her loving husband, Gilbert Hobson, her beautiful daughter and best friend, Theresa Nadeau, her beloved brothers, Eugene Lawrence, Robert Vaughn, and Jeffrey Vaughn, and her parents, Robert and Grace Vaughn.
Her kindness and love will be forever in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege to know her.
