Elizabeth Briggs

Elizabeth A. (Jones) Briggs, 64, died unexpectedly December 7, 2020 at her residence in Orono. She was born January 6, 1956, in Lewiston, the daughter of John P. and Joan G. Jones.
Elizabeth graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1974. She continued her education and graduated from the University of Maine at Presque Isle Class of 1978, with a degree in Education. While he was serving in the U.S Navy, she met and married the love of her life, Kevin. They celebrated 42 years of marriage in August. She was a loyal member of the United Methodist Church in Brewer, where she shared her passion for music in the choir.
During her time at Orono Commons, she was an active member and leader of many groups. She continued to share her faiths with others by organizing and leading her own Sunday Service.
Family was always her first priority. She always put everyone else ahead of herself. Her huge heart, caring for others, and strong faith will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her husband Kevin; daughter Jessica and her husband Justin of Holden; son Kristofer and his wife Kristin, of Milford. Five grandchildren, Kayla, Kolby, Karlee, Khloe, and Addilyn. Her mother, Joan, and her brother Steven and his wife Jackie, all of Bangor. She was predeceased by her father, John and brother, William.
She will be greatly missed by her life-long best friend, Martha Crossman; her sister at heart Kathy Jones; her sister in laws Joyce Schneck, Sharon Hardy, and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life and graveside service will be held at a later date.
