BANGOR - Eleanor "Ellie" Francis (Annis) Rounsaville, was born on January 7, 1933 in Bangor, Maine as the 3rd child of Lester & Thelma Annis. She joined her husband of 71 years in Heaven on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the age of 93.

Ellie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth just 71 days earlier. She is survived by their sons, Gary & Carol Rounsaville, of Bangor, and Mark & Nadine Rounsaville, of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Craig & Stephanie Rounsaville, of Springfield, Missouri, and Candace & Josh Geuea, of Clarksville, Tennessee, as well as 4 great-grandchildren, Cara, Brexton, & Rhett Geuea, and Elijah Rounsaville with another on the way.

Ellie was a Bangor High graduate (Class of '51) who met Ken when he was stationed at the Dow Air Force Base. They were later married on June 5, 1954 at the Columbia Street Baptist Church. Except for working briefly at the Freese's Department Store at the Airport Mall, the boys were blessed to have a wonderful stay-at-home mom. Ellie loved her family, thoroughly enjoyed visiting with friends, and admired the beautiful Maine coast.

A come-and-go Memorial Visitation will be held at the Columbia Street Baptist Church Education Building (45 Columbia Street, Bangor) on Thursday, February 12, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the CSBC Mission Kitchen (P.O. Box 514, Bangor, ME 04401) in honor of Ellie & Ken. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
