Edward Joseph Worcester

Edward J. Worcester, 85, died October 10, 2026 at a Dover hospital. He was born on February 20, 1941 in Bangor, Maine, the son of Carroll Henry Worcester and Elizabeth (Young) Worcester.

Edward attended Bangor schools, one of his proudest moments was when he got his GED in his 60's. He worked many years as a shoemaker where he made many lifelong friends. He was married to Helen Pelletier for 51 years until her death in 2012. Edward's favorite memories were the times he got to spend with his grandchildren and great grandchildren in his gardens.

Surviving, in addition to his daughter, Chrystal (Worcester) Adams and her husband, Randy; are his granddaughters, Wendi (Adams) Sherwood and her husband, Adam, and Jessica (Adams) Kozak and her husband, John; as well as six great-grandchildren, Cassie Sherwood, Hadley Sherwood, Ren Sherwood, Lola Sherwood, Jack Kozak and Katie Kozak. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Worcester; and many siblings.

Funeral Prayers and Rite of Committal will be prayed at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor, Maine, on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11am.
