Edward A. Laskey, 70 passed away September 28, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Bangor, September 29, 1955 the son of Lewis and Inez M. (Rankins) Laskey.

Edward was employed with Evans Shoe Factory, Hampden for many years, until their closure. After that he became certified as a CNA and CMA and worked for nursing homes in Brewer, Ellsworth and Belfast.

Edward had a compassion for others and loved his family.

Surviving are his son, Aaron Laskey, daughter, April Laskey Martens and husband, Thomas Martens; grandchildren, Mary Miller, Laura Martens; a special niece and her family, Michele Junkins and husband Richard Smith, Courtney Ripley and husband Jon, Gabrielle Smith and fiancé, Ben Sibley, Tyler Junkins; a niece, Karen Linden and husband Lyndon, nephew, Clarence Merchant, Jr.; brother-in-law, Clarence Merchant, Sr.

He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Catherine Martens.; two sisters, Donna Merchant and Maxine Ouellette and a brother, Robert Laskey.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery, Rt. 9, Hampden.
